Got a note with new headshots and resume from Kaitlyn that look great -- she also said, "I just wanted to let you know that I am in LA for the summer trying to get some work! It is gorgeous out here and we are staying busy. I got new headshots done and we are sending out postcards to casting directors! My agent is submitting me for projects and so am I. Nothing has happened yet, but hopefully soon! Just wanted to keep you updated on what’s going on!" AG

Young Actor Needed -- The Diary of Anne Frank

Submitted by Andy on Mon, 2007-06-25 15:01.

Got this from Darren this afternoon. AG

"The Diary of Anne Frank" at the Olathe Community Theater (500 E. Loula,
Olathe, KS) still needs a twentysomething or teenage actor who can play
the role of Peter Van Daan. This is a terrific role (you're on stage
through the entire show and have several key scenes), yet no
age-appropriate actors showed up at auditions this past weekend. (All of
the other roles are currently being cast from the auditions.)

If you're interested, please contact the director at
darrendseb@yahoo.com for an audition appointment. Audition sides are
available on the home page of the theater site: www.olathetheatre.org.

SPEED-THE-PLOW

A production of one of David Mamet's most cynical and observant plays marks the theatrical return of a homegrown actor who hasn't made a stage appearance in 30 years.

Jeff East, the local boy who became a star in the 1970s in movies such as “Tom Sawyer” and “Superman,” is currently appearing in the Down Every Street/Actor's Training Studio production of “Speed-the-Plow.”

Casting Call
for the One Night Stand Film Festival
Saturday, June 30th

I’m looking for a reasonable good looking male actor in his 20's to play a pickup artist. He will need to be able to exude extreme cockiness.

The premise is as follows: A pickup artist sees an attractive girl walking down the street and attempts to pick her up armed with nothing swaggering bravado.

About the One Night Stand Film Festival:

The festival in an annual event put on by the Independent Filmmakers Coalition and will take place this year on June 30th.

Actors Needed for Fringe One-Act

Submitted by Andy on Mon, 2007-06-18 11:09.

I got this from ATS Actor Linda Levin, who's taking a role in it. AG

Joe Baehr needs male actors of various ages for a one-act that will be performed at this year's Fringe Festival. The one act was written by Joe and is a political farce told as an allegory. Six actors, their director, and a soundman are translating a Japanese monster movie into English. Little memorization is involved as actors will read from a script as they "translate". Sounds like great fun. Rehearsals begin July 15th. For more information, have interested actors contact Joe Baehr at 913-449-4212.
